UWSOMAA SCHOLARSHIP
-The School Of Music Alumni Association Scholarship Fund was established in 2002 in conujunction with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to assist the School of Music in recruiting the finest freshman talent.
-From 2003 to 2010, SOMAA provided $52,000 to the School of Music. This was matched by the UW Foundation for a grand total of $104,000
-In 2011, the SOMAA/UWF scholarship funds provided $16,000 for two incoming freshmen with four-year scholarships of $8000 each. That brought the total to $120,000 in scholarships provided to music students over 9 years.
-All gifts received beyond what is awarded in scholarships are invested by the UW Foundation to build a permanent endowment. That account now holds more than $48,000.
